In terms of sound, if the concert site has a respectable acoustical response, only two solo microphones are needed. If it is acoustically deficient, at least three additional omni-directional microphones are needed to enhance the choir. A piano (preferably a grand) is a must and it must be tuned. No risers are needed but sufficient space for movement is helpful. Of course, convenient AC power supplies for the amplifiers are important. Two dressing areas (men/women) that are large enough to accommodate 8-9 people. Mirrors are important. Hot
and bottled water, tea and lemon are needed during break. TRAVEL EXPENSES If the concert location is over 150 miles from Los Angeles, air travel will have to be secured. Lodging accommodations are necessary if we are unable to travel home at a decent hour after the concert. A 3 hour arrival buffer is necessary to allow for rest and sound check. |
